Welcome
The church of Saint Matthew is the parish church of Blackmoor and Whitehill, and belongs to everyone who lives in those areas. It is a part of the Deanery of Petersfield in the Diocese of Portsmouth.
St. Matthew’s church is open every day for private prayer, or for some peace and quiet. It is the home of the Christian community in the parish, but serves everyone who lives here, and everyone is always welcome to join in the services, or to enjoy the peace.
You will find more information about the building and all that happens in it on these pages, but even when nothing is going on inside, St Matthew's is a sign of God's presence among us, and that He is ready to give His peace to those who seek it.
The Blessed Sacrament is kept in the church to be taken to the sick and to those who cannot come to church, and a light shines in the sanctuary to show that it is there.
If you would like the Church to pray for you or someone you know, please put the names on the red prayer board.
If you would like to speak to the Vicar, please phone 01420 473548.
When you leave the church, please use the visitors' book by the door, and tell us what you think, and when you leave this site, please leave your comments in the online guest book.
