The Churchwardens are delighted to announce the appointment of Rev'd Dominic Clarke as our new Priest in Charge, who will be licensed at St Matthew's on 6th December 2011 at 7pm.

St Matthew's is now nearing the end of the interregnum. Interregnum means 'between reigns' so this means that we as a parish are between the previous vicar and the new arriving vicar.
We are fortunate to have two curates, the Rev Wendy Mallas and the Rev Lyn Page who, with the help of visiting clergy are enabling our Sunday Morning and Wednesday evening services to continue as normal.
It is important to remember during this time that although things are different, our God remains constant and unchanging.
Your prayers during this time, for Rev Clarke and his family as they prepare to move to Blackmoor, and for Rev Hughes and his family as they settle in to St Peters in Petersfield, would be most welcome.
God is gracious, by his grace and in his love, the parish will pray and work together through the laid down processes. Your prayers for those involved in this process and for all at St Matthew's are also very welcome.
We are starting a new chapter of ministry in our parish, and are very grateful to the staff of the Portsmouth Diocese and the Petersfield Deanery for all their assistance during this time.
During the Interregnum
During the interregnum the telephone number of the Vicarage will remain the same, and will be diverted to one of our churchwardens.
E-mails will also be forwarded to the churchwardens and parish secretary; we will endeavour to answer your enquiries as quickly as possible.
If you are planning a Baptism, a Wedding, or needing to arrange a Funeral, please be assured that every attention will be given to your needs.
Whilst we are temporarily without an incumbent, we are fortunate to be able to call on the services of a number of priests, who will be very happy to prepare, plan and conduct the service that you have asked for.
If you have already booked your wedding, please rest assured it will go ahead as planned, and a member of our team will be in touch with you.
