Could you spare just £2.30 a week to help? Doesn't seem like a lot does it?
This small weekly amount equates to a £10 per month donation which would make a real, much needed difference to Church funds.
It's easy to set up a regular donation or to make a one-off donation in just a few quick steps using the On-line Donation Facility.
If you are a UK tax payer, please do tick the Gift Aid box (labelled "I am a UK tax payer") so that we can claim the tax back on your donation at no extra cost to you.
The link below will open in a new window and will take you to the CharityGiving website - who help with our donations process.
From there you can donate using the on-line facility.
Any donation, no matter what the size, is helpful to the Church in continuing its work, so please do consider giving an amount to help.
Regular donations are the most efficient mechanism and will help to provide an on-going income.
Please note: the donation mechanism does not need your bank account details, only the details of a debit or credit card from which you would like the amount debited from - so it's just like buying an item via an on-line shop. For regular donations it will take the regular donation date as the date the first debit occurs - i.e. when it makes the first debit to the card in question, which may be a few days after you do the initial donation set-up. One-off donations should be debited there and then.
Your Church needs YOU!
It is a fact of life that the Church needs money to function and survive. The Church receives no Government funding so this money has to come from donations from parishioners and the public.
Donating without using the On-line Donation Facility
One obvious form of off-line donation is the money left on the collection plate during a service. However, donations can take other forms such as regular giving via Standing Orders (very easy to set up), one-off sums, or legacies as part of a will. In addition, there is the possibility for the Church to claim back the tax component of the donation, via the Gift Aid scheme, to increase the effective value of the donation at no additional cost to the donator.
Regular donations via Standing Order are probably the most efficient mechanism.
If you would like to make either a one-off or a regular donation without using the On-line Donation Facility, please contact the Treasurer, Malcolm Cooper, for details (see the Contacts page).
You may also find the St. Matthew's Gift Aid Declaration & Standing Order form useful. Once complete, please return these forms to St Matthew's Church Treasurer, c/o The New Vicarage, Blackmoor GU33 6BN. THANK YOU.
